Bursary Requirements

The school offers bursaries to benefit families who would not otherwise be able to attend.

These bursaries are not dependent on ability. Parents wishing to apply for a bursary should make their intentions clear to our registrar Jean Simmons at the outset of the admissions process. The child will have to follow the normal entry procedures and as Cranford House is non-selective bursaries will not be dependent on ability. However, before granting a bursary place Cranford House will need to establish that there is positive fit between the family and the school to ensure that both the children and the School are able to gain full benefit from any Bursary.

Availability
Bursary places are limited may be awarded to pupils of any age according to financial need, and could cover either part or full fees. There are no residence qualifications although priority will be given to children who are local to Cranford House.

How do I Qualify?
Your will be asked to complete forms giving comprehensive information regarding the financial circumstances of both parents, and of any partners of those parents including details and proof of current income, expenditure, capital assets, savings accounts and loans or mortgages. As a guide, combined family incomes of more than £40,000 are unlikely to qualify for bursary assistance and both parents will be expected to be in employment. However, any awards made are at the discretion of the Governors and exact criteria may vary at any given time. Any awards made will be subject to an annual review. All applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence and will be dealt with by the Bursar Erica Taylor. A selection of applications are subject to independent review by School Auditors.

How to Apply
Please contact our Registrar Jean Simmons for a Bursary application form on 01491 651218.
