German Christmas Market Trip, December 2011
The much anticipated trip to the German Christmas markets has just taken place.
The trip involved 27 girls from Years 8 to 11 who were accompanied by Mrs Elston, Mrs Eccles and Mrs Stoker. After a long coach journey we arrived in Cologne where we stayed in a very comfortable youth hostel; more like a hotel really!
Visits included the Christmas markets in Cologne and Aachen, the Chocolate Museum, a traditional German cafe and Phantasialand. The girls worked very hard on their German, practising in the markets and writing diaries in the evening.
A wonderful and very memorable time was had by all!
