S Moreton 18 05 03 Swimming Sm

As the sunshine returned to Moulsford this week, it was wonderful to see summer sports continuing in full flow across the school.

We’ve enjoyed some notable success for our teams, including victory for our Tennis players against Bradfield College, and we celebrated the diverse range of sporting achievement across the school in this morning’s assembly. It was also our pleasure to welcome pupils from nearby South Moreton School to enjoy the use of our pool and swimming lessons with Mrs Graham.

The sun has also seen pupils across the school enjoying our outdoor spaces and facilities, including our youngest members down at Nursery School who have been busily honing their gardening skills, with much enthusiasm!

Back indoors, we also enjoyed a very special Sixth Form Design Day with our future Sixth Formers in Year 9. They were given the chance to work with an experienced team of architects and interior designers who helped them to develop their own ideas and designs for the forthcoming Common Room. This proved a really valuable opportunity for them to develop an understanding of design processes and to work closely with the architects who are designing the new Sixth Form building. We were very impressed with the exciting range and maturity of ideas generated and these will all be incorporated into the next stage of the design process. We look forward to sharing similar opportunities with other year groups later this term.

Wishing you all a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend.

Best wishes,

Dr James Raymond
