A cold but bright morning saw the Cranford House Running Club set off on their inaugural 5K race.

Tackling a testing course around Moulsford village, keen runners from Years 5 to 9 took part in the club's first ever 5K race this morning. With a succession of laps and a very steep hill to contend with, their regular Friday running sessions definitely paid dividends, with each and every participant finishing in style. The runners were cheered home by roars from a crowd of pupils, parents and staff and they were treated to warming cups of homemade hot chocolate and well-deserved slabs of Rocky Road on completing the course. Many congratulations to each and every one of our fabulous runners, with special mention to Bella of Year 8 who stormed home in first place, followed by Esme of Year 7 and Amelia of Year 6. Many thanks also to Mrs Lanyon who not only dreamt up the race and devised the course, but also put her trainers on to accompany the runners all the way round.
