It has been our pleasure to welcome pupils and staff from Hamburg to Cranford House.

Fourteen students from the Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium joined us for the first leg of our biannual German Exchange and it was wonderful to see them settling into their temporary school and home life so well. As well as shadowing their counterparts in Years 9 and 10 around school and gaining lots of English speaking practice, the girls also enjoyed a host of trips, including a visit to London where they took in the capital's sights and enjoyed a ride on the London Eye. They also found time for a quiz around our local town of Wallingford and an impromptu trip to Reading after a planned visit to Oxford was derailed by the snow!

The next leg of the exchange will take place at the end of March as our pupils head off to Hamburg for their own taste of life in Germany.
