A team of our intrepid Year 10s jetted off to Malaysia this summer on the trip of a lifetime.

Team leader Mrs Cranton travelled with them on their World Challenge expedition and sent us this report:

"We arrived in Kuala Lumpur and planned the rest of the expedition, including booking transport and accommodation. We visited the Batu Caves and took a tour of the dark caves where we saw lots of large creepy crawlies and some fascinating rock formations.

We then headed off to the beautiful Cameron Highlands where we completed a taxing trek and took part in a day tour which included visits to a strawberry farm, a mossy forest, a butterfly and reptile center and also the vibrant local markets.

Following this, we travelled to Bubbles Dive Resort on the stunning Perhentian Islands. We spent time here completing an enviromental project that involved learning about coral conservation and turtle patrols. Our patrols took place throughout the night and we had to look for signs of turtles coming on to the beach to lay their eggs. Unfortunately, we didn't spot any during our patrols but we did get to swim with several turtles on a snorkeling trip!

For the last leg of the trip, we headed back to KL for some rest and relaxation, as well as a spot of sightseeing which included a vertigo-inducing trip to the viewing platform of the Petronas Towers and a visit to the huge Central Market.

World Challenge trips are always unforgettable experiences and this was no different. The girls certainly have lots of memories to cherish forever."
