At the heart of daily life in school is a commitment to creative approaches to teaching and learning – we know that children make excellent progress when they are inspired and excited about their learning.

The creative curriculum within our Junior school balances a cross-curricular approach to learning across the Arts and Humanities with a strong focus on developing core understanding in English, Mathematics and Science. Our innovative and exciting Forest School engages and encourages our pupils to develop a broader appreciation of their learning outside of the classroom, applying their understanding in Mathematics or Science to the natural world.

Pupils enjoy a varied and exciting school day with core lessons delivered by their form teacher whilst also benefiting from specialist teachers in Modern Foreign Languages, Physical Education, Computing, Mathematics and Music. Class sizes are small at around 20 pupils and there is a strong focus on ensuring each child is appropriately stretched and makes excellent progress, within a context that encourages deep thinking, engagement and enjoyment.

"Pupils have highly positive attitudes towards their learning. Their behaviour, care and support for each other are excellent."
