The School - Lower School (age 4-7yrs)

School is not just about the lessons.

When you hand your child over for their first day at school, you want to know that they are in good hands. You want to know that the teachers will care for them and give them the support and encouragement that they need. You need to know there will be someone their to pick them up and give them a cuddle when they fall over and scrape their knee. That's why choosing the right school for their child is as much about finding the right atmosphere as it is about the curriculum. It is all about how you feel when we walk through the door. At Cranford, our teachers are warm and friendly and their classrooms are welcoming, spacious and bright. Cranford House is most definitely a space both you and your child will feel at home in - right from the start!

At Cranford, all our pupils learn literacy and numeracy. But unlike many other schools, even our youngest pupils have lessons with specialist teachers - French, Drama, Music and PE. We also don't just teach using traditional techniques;  we recognise that it is our job to engage and to compell our pupils to learn using creative and innovative strategies and techniques.
