Parent Teachers' Association

The role of the PTA is to raise funds for extras for the school and to run social events to bring the parent community together.

A recent initiative is that we have set up a link with a free fundraising service for online shopping. Shop directly with each retailer but by using the links from  www.easyfundraising.org.uk the retailer makes a cashback donation to Cranford. Simply select Cranford House School Parents Association as your nominated charity and shop!

Your PTA Committee

The current committee consists of nine committed parents and two representatives of the staff. We meet twice a term and the Annual General Meeting in held in September. We also have regular meetings with the parent Form Representatives to discuss and plan the calendar of events and fundraising ideas. Each form has between one and three parents (usually two!) who are Form Representatives for their year group. As well as organising social events each term for fellow parents, the Form Reps provide a vital link between the PTA Committee and the parent body. Form Reps often go onto join the main PTA Committee, which can be a fun and rewarding way to become more involved in school activities and meet other like-minded parents throughout the school.

The PTA Committee for the academic year 2011/12 is:

Chairperson - Deborah Caporn
Deputy Chairperson & Treasurer - Eve Humphreys-Evans
School Representatives - Erica Taylor (Bursar)
- Lucy Phipps (Deputy Head)

Other Members

- Brenda Mainwaring

- Lucy Henman

- Claire Steen

- Dawn Breach

- Lucy Mason

- Mel Slocombe

- Jo Taylor
