Excellent Pastoral Care underpins every aspect of school life and our core values of Happiness, Confidence, Generosity of Spirit, Motivation and Challenge permeate all aspects of the school day. Excellence in Pastoral care is central to our school aims and Cranford School offers a family community, a school where every pupil knows each other and is supported by a strong network of friends.

At the start of each day pupils are welcomed into school by our friendly, experienced team of form tutors who are there to offer support, guidance and pastoral care throughout your child's journey through school. Pupils are encouraged by their form tutors to develop independence, build resilience, mature as independent thinkers and simply get stuck in to all aspects of school life. The pastoral system achieves this by providing a host of opportunities for pupils to take on leadership through roles like Form Captain and School Council Representative or through active engagement in our thriving House System.

Pupils benefit from a rich and diverse assembly programme both bringing the school together as a larger community and focusing in sectional meetings on the specific needs of individual year groups. On a daily basis our Matron team is available for medical concerns and advice whilst our PSHCEE programme proactively supports pupils with developing knowledge and understanding of the issues they will face as individuals and within the wider community. We are very proud of our active and vocal School Council which sits alongside our Teaching and Learning Council providing a strong pupil voice at the heart of our community.

Our strong traditional values and high expectations are underpinned by our Code of Behaviour, which provide guidelines for all members of the school community.
