Sport at Cranford is central to everything we do. It provides an opportunity for pupils to learn so many life lessons; how to build and live an active and healthy life, how to lead, to compete, to persist in the face of defeat, to work as a team, to communicate...
We strive to encourage our pupils to develop a positive attitude to physical activity and to prepare them for an active and healthy life. In addition, we seek to give all our pupils the opportunity to develop through coaching and to compete at a level appropriate to their ability.
How is sport at Cranford different from other schools? All our pupils in Year 4 and above take part in weekly competitive fixtures and have team coaching. We run A- D teams, as appropriate to pupil numbers. We play against a huge range of schools, both local and further afield. We have more than 3 hours of Sport in each pupils school day and pupils learn a huge variety of sport including swimming, dance, gymnastics, kayaking, sailing, climbing, squash, badminton, and horse riding.
