Year3 Netball

It has been a busy week in school with a raft of sporting activities and fixtures taking place throughout the week, including Cricket tournaments for our Senior teams, a Reading FC Football Masterclass for Juniors and matches aplenty. Particular congratulations go to our Senior 1st and 3rd Netball teams who achieved a clean sweep of wins in their visit to Rye St Anthony, to our Year 3 players who beat Thorngrove and to 8Dawson who emerged victorious at The Dragon.

We have also enjoyed exciting internal and external events, with Cranford House hosting another exceptional Year 5 Maths Challenge event for keen mathematicians from a host of local schools, and our Year 6 boys and girls heading back in time with a trip to Reading Museum’s Victorian Classroom today. We look forward to welcoming them back to school with a new regard for modern-day comforts!

This morning I enjoyed sharing a tour of our new Sixth Form building with our Year 11s. As the final aspects of external landscaping are completed, it is exciting to see the arrival of furniture and our common room, classroom and study spaces taking shape! I look forward to sharing this facility with parents in the weeks ahead.

With best wishes
Dr James Raymond
