Festivities are well underway here at Cranford House and we have enjoyed a week full of very special Christmas events.

Our two Reception Crib Services at St John the Baptist, Moulsford, were wonderful celebrations of the Christmas story, complete with astoundingly confident performances from some of our youngest pupils. They had even mastered singing in French and their audience of family and friends were rightly appreciative.

Equally fabulous was our Key Stage 1 Christmas Show, Lights, Camel Action! Boasting some crazy camel dancing and standout performances, the show was a great combination of a fun-filled storyline and the Christian message behind the Nativity Story. Thanks to everyone who was able to come along and cheer the children on – your support made for a truly memorable event. I look forward to seeing many of our parent body at our Junior and Senior Carol Services next Monday and Tuesday.

Yesterday saw an incredible turn out of runners from Junior and Senior School for our annual Christmas 5K. Pounding the streets and fields of Moulsford, their determination, athleticism and mutual support was really impressive. Very well done to all who took part.

The week also held a treat for music-lovers thanks to the GCSE Tea Concert. Mrs Powell told us, “Everyone performed to a really high standard with a real variety of repertoire and instruments. The dedication and commitment that pupils towards their performances were obvious and it was fantastic to see that they are all well on the way to achieving strong results in their Music GCSEs.”

Finally, there are lots of thanks and well wishes to give this week, firstly to Mrs Sear who has headed off on maternity leave. We wish her and her family all the very best. We also bid farewell to Mrs Hanson who is leaving us at the end of the term. She has been a wonderful asset to Junior Music and she leaves with all our best wishes for the future. Junior parents will be receiving letters regarding Music lessons from Mrs Powell next week. Huge thanks also go to the PTA for organising another amazing Christmas Fair last weekend. Their support is invaluable and we are most grateful for their efforts.

With best wishes
