It’s been a week of celebration here at Cranford House thanks to a host of opportunities to gather and celebrate the many achievements of this year.

The most spectacular of these events came courtesy of our Senior Prize Giving ceremony, held in the splendour of the Sheldonian Theatre. The evening gave us the chance to celebrate excellence across the Senior School and to celebrate the accomplishments of our Year 11s as they leave us. Their good humour, intelligence and enthusiasm have been much in evidence over the past few weeks during their work experience, their trip to London and at last night’s prom. We know they will continue to shine brightly throughout their futures and we wish them all the very best.

Back at school, both Junior and Senior Awards gave us a further chance to applaud pupils’ efforts in their academic subjects, performing arts, sport and expeditions, as well as their conduct and the part they play in our school community. Whilst their myriad achievements were genuinely superb, the generosity with which I saw pupils congratulating their friends on their successes was especially impressive.

The week also saw audiences being treated to a truly exceptional production of Dragon Days by Year 5 and 6. Over three roof-raising performances, pupils wowed those lucky enough to watch with their theatrical talents, truly expressive performances and amazing musicality. Very well done to all involved in creating such an unforgettable show.

Finally, congratulations are also due to our new Junior Heads of School, Mia and Charlie. We look forward to seeing them lead our younger years from September.
