Cranford House is delighted to be able to celebrate the outstanding success of their Year 11 students as they received GCSE results this morning. Pupils have been truly exceptional in their reaction to the most unusual conclusion to their GCSEs, demonstrating their dedication, resilience, spirit of adventure and creativity in transitioning to remote learning and time away from school.

The academic potential of this year group has been clear throughout their time at Cranford House and this is reflected in their excellent set of GCSE results. Despite all of the uncertainties they faced, the results are at the same high level as in previous years.

But more than this it has been a great privilege to share their journey through school to Year 11 with such a charismatic, kind and dedicated group of students. As a year group they have exemplified the school's most important value of generosity of spirit throughout the period of lockdown, committing to our virtual community with energy and enthusiasm.

Headmaster, Dr James Raymond paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of the schools pupils and the efforts of teaching staff,

“I am delighted to be able to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our Year 11 students this summer. They are the most exceptional group of young people who have tackled the challenges of recent months with both dedication to their studies and also a deep sense of shared community, generosity of spirit and kindness towards each other and across the school. I am very proud of each and every one of them and their academic achievements throughout their time at Cranford House. I know they will all go on to great success as they move forward into Sixth Form! It has been exciting to be able to share our new Sixth Form Centre, which opens in September, with parents and pupils this morning, and we are privileged to be able to welcome such a wonderful cohort of young people into our purpose-built new facilities.”
