From the age of 3, children have the opportunity to swim in small structured classes on a weekly basis with our highly-experienced Level 2 ASA swimming teacher. These lessons take place during the school day in our purpose-built teaching pool at Cranford House.
Developing water skills from an early age helps children grow in confidence both in and out of the water, whilst improving co-ordination and self-awareness. Play is an essential part of learning and the children experiment with various toys and activities as part of the structured lessons.
Those children not yet old enough for Nursery swimming lessons can take part in teacher-led sessions with a parent / carer. These sessions are also open to non-Cranford House parents and toddlers. The focus is on having fun and building water confidence from a young age; this is achieved through song, play and lots of splashing!
