GCSE Courses & Options
Cranford offers 15 different GCSE optional courses to chose from covered in Year 10 and 11 which often link straight through to most A-levels in our Sixth Form.
GCSE Compulsory and Optional Courses
In Year 9 pupils together with the Senior School teaching staff and the academic leadership team will review GCSE courses on offer based on each individuals strength, interests and abilities.
Typically, pupils study 10 or 11 subjects to GCSE level with English, Mathematics, Science, a Modern Foreign Language and a Humanities subject being compulsory. All pupils have PE in their weekly timetable, even if they are not studying it for GCSE, along with weekly lessons which cover careers, life skills and preparation for Sixth Form or life beyond Cranford.
