GCSE Results Day 2022
The academic potential of this year group has been clear throughout their time at Cranford House and this is reflected in their excellent set of GCSE results.
CONSISTENT EXCELLENCE FOR CRANFORD HOUSE GCSE PUPILS IN 2022
It has been a wonderful morning of joy and festivity as we enjoyed an exceptional GCSE results day celebrating the successes of our Year 11 students.
We are delighted to be able to share another year of outstanding results with a record 41% of all grades 9-8 (A*-A) and 60% 9-7 (A*-A). We are especially proud of the exceptional value-added score of +1.3 indicating that pupils continue to achieve well over a grade above their nationally standardised baseline targets (with a five year average of +1.6).
As in previous years, our results proved incredibly strong across the curriculum with English scoring a record 50% 9-8 and 69% 9-7. These results reflect the wider success of the year group across the core subjects with 42% 9-8 in Maths, English and Science. In the Creative and Performing Arts 62% of all grades were achieved at 9-8 reflecting the exceptional creative and performing talent of this cohort and the excellent teaching staff. Similarly Humanities (70% 9-7) and Modern Foreign Language students (45% 9-8) enjoyed incredible success this summer.
It’s been a true privilege watching this year group grow and mature into the confident, charismatic individuals they are today and no doubt they’ll carry this same determination and enthusiasm into their A Level studies as we welcome them into Sixth Form this September.

"Year 11 have been an outstanding group of role-models for the whole school, despite the various challenges of the pandemic, they have been exceptional in their hard work, determination and friendship for each other. It has been a real pleasure to share in their success this morning. I am hugely proud of each and every pupil and Iook forward to their progress as they move on to Sixth Form and the next steps in their school career."
