Ski 23Sm

Half Term saw our biannual ski trip heading off to the slopes of Austria. Trip leader, Mrs Sear, sent us this report:

“On Saturday 10 February, our ski trip departed with 30 very excited girls on board. On arrival in Zell am See in Austria, we checked into the Club Kitzsteinhorn hotel which had lots of entertainment on site, including beach volleyball courts, sports halls and dance studios, a trampolining room, rock climbing, disco rooms and common rooms for each school!

Our skiing got off to a great start with the beginners starting on the nursery slope and more experienced skiers brushing up on their turns and stops on the resort’s main blue run. By the end of the week, everyone had made fantastic progress with our beginners skiing down from the very top of the mountain, our intermediates tackling a tricky red run and our advanced skiers trying out a black!

Evenings saw us making the most of the sporting facilities, as well as shopping and crepe eating in the town, playing Austrian skittles, watching an ice hockey match, enjoying BBQs and visiting the local skiing museum. On Friday, we took to the slopes for the last time, before handing in our skiis and preparing for the journey home, tired but very happy!

It was an amazing week with everyone learning and really developing their skills – well done, all.”
