Director of Sport & Physical Education

Teacher of Physical Education

Cranford House School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Physical Education & Sport (to start January or April 2020) to join our dynamic, energetic PE Department and inspire and motivate all pupils to develop and maintain high levels of participation in physical education and sport.

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of achievement for all pupils and with confidence and/or experience of teaching a number of disciplines including football and/or netball. Peripatetic Singing Teacher

We are looking to appoint a Peripatetic Singing Teacher to support and promote music at the School through the delivery of high quality lessons to our pupils.

Cranford House has an excellent tradition for singing and it remains a thriving part of school music making.

The successful candidate will ideally work 2 days per week within the flourishing department and will be experienced in teaching and motivating both girls and boys. They will assist pupils in preparations for performances, examinations and auditions and the ability to play the piano is a necessity.

The successful applicant will also be expected to monitor and report on pupils’ progress; meet all administrative deadlines and attend concerts in which your pupils will perform whenever possible.

Exam Invigilators

We are seeking to add to our bank of casual Examination Invigilators who are able to do either half or whole days during the Summer exam period and also at other times to assist with mocks, resits and other external exams.

Duties include supervision of on-line tests, the invigilation for external examinations and reading and writing for individual students. A good standard of education is essential along with general administrative skills. Training will be provided so no previous experience is necessary.

Minibus Driver

An opportunity has arisen for a Minibus Driver to join our existing team. He/she will be responsible for driving a 15 or 17 seater minibus on a single and/or split-shift basis (6.45-8.45am, 3.45-5.45pm) and will have a good rapport with children of all ages with a key responsibility to ensure a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The Minibus Driver will be a member of the Transport team and drive a school minibus and, therefore, must be in possession of a clean driving licence, with D or D1 entitlement. Before driving any pupils in the bus, a test, arranged by the school, must be taken and passed.
