After an exciting first few days back after the holidays, we are now fully into the swing of normal school life. As ever, it has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and effort with which all our pupils have approached the new school year, from Nursery right up to our Year 11s.

It has been particularly exciting to watch pupils enjoying our upgrades to Senior School with newly created corridors easing the flow of traffic and our freshly built Senior Library proving a great hit. My thanks go to the PTA whose fantastic fundraising efforts have helped us to kit out the new Library in fantastic style and create an inspiring space that is much more fitting for our Senior pupils.

A real highlight of the week came yesterday as I joined our Year 7s in heading off to the Earth Trust for a day packed with outdoor exploration, den building and fire making. It was wonderful to witness the real spirit of friendship and camaraderie between both old and new pupils and I’m sure they all have a fantastic year ahead of them.

I hope to meet many of you at our upcoming Welcome Evenings and at our Sixth Form Options and Information Evening on 17 September. In the meantime, my best wishes for a restful weekend.
