SIXTH FORM HIGHER EDUCATION EVENING

Welcome to our Cranford House Higher Education Evening. We have included information we hope you will find useful in supporting your child in their preparations for Higher Education and their post-18 plans.

In the Sixth Form at Cranford House, we want to support students to make future choices to suit their own personal combination of skills, values, talents and interests and we value the positive working rapport with share with our wonderful Year 12 students and their families. While much of our future planning focuses on preparation for university application and life at university, we have introduced our students to a range of other opportunities such as employment, armed forces, entrepreneurship, apprenticeships/degree apprenticeships and gap years and we have drawn on the experiences of the Cranford House Alumnae who offer advice, inspiration and, increasingly, mentoring to our students.

On this page you will find a range of Higher Education resources including presentations from UEA, Cardiff University and Lincoln University on making University choices, Degree Apprenticeships and Student Finance. You will also be able to explore helpful links and read our Higher Education Handbook and Oxbridge Applications Guide which provides useful advice for students and parents throughout the application process.
